AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC PROGRAM (ASAP)

ASAP provides a high quality, comprehensive curriculum that promotes life-long learning, builds competencies in core academic subjects, and connects young students to mentors.

Students in ASAP gain much more than academics skills. They learn to be self-confident and motivated, particularly in the areas of math, science and technology. They learn to approach problems with creativity and initiative as they enhance their communicate skills. As students explore new topics, they begin to develop healthy interests, discover hidden talents, and begin to build positive social skills that better prepare them to succeed in middle school.

Although our curriculum is very fluid to allow for creativity and growth, there are specific goals to ensure we promote academic growth and foster leadership in students. All curriculum material is specially tailored for TSCC students and may at times incorporate curricula from other sources. Our lesson plans are presented to students in mixed aged groups and small group learning environments. ASAP operates from September to June.
